Calvary Christian School

17 Lyons Ave
Newark, NJ 07112
Calvary Christian School was founded in 1982 as a ministry of Calvary Baptist Church.
All faculty members of Calvary are born-again Christians who are dedicated to serving the Lord.
Each faculty member has been carefully and prayerfully selected and is spiritually and academically well qualified to teach and serve our students.
CCS is owned and operated by Calvary Baptist Church, an independent, fundamental, local Baptist church.
The school takes the same fundamental position as the church in its beliefs regarding the Word of God, separation from the standards and morals of the world, etc.
All programs are based on the authority of God's Word, emphasize the fundamentals of the Christian faith, utilize a Bible-centered approach, and maintain a faculty of only born-again believers in Jesus Christ.
With the Lord's help and leadership we seek to train students in spiritual, mental), physical, and social areas, keeping before them the goals of Christ-likeness, separation from the world, and allegiance to Biblical truth.
We stand without apology for the old-time Gospel. Our purpose at CCS is to educate students in truth and righteousness and, in so doing, support their families and Bible-believing churches.
Our mission is to produce academically well-prepared students who are spiritually minded and who will influence those around them for the Lord Jesus Christ for a lifetime.
