Immanuel Lutheran is a fantastic school for all students. I have seen kids who could barely read in the 4th grade go onto exceed their grade level. Students who were bullied out of their former schools found friends here. It wasn't until I pursued the education degree that I understood how unique this school is. Most schools will only give an individualized educational plan (IEP) for learning disabled or gifted students. Every single student had an IEP and notes on report cards concerning improvements or successes every semester, regardless of exceptionality. I give full credit to this school and Mr. Bernthal as the reason I was able to complete my AA degree before high school graduation and receive an almost full-ride scholarship to Florida Southern.
