Laurel Heights is a private intensive residential treatment center located in Atlanta, Georgia, in the Emory/Druid Hills neighborhood.
The serene 12 acre campus offers seven residential cottages, separate clinic, school, cafeteria, gym, swimming pool and several outdoor playgrounds.
Laurel Heights specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents with complex psychiatric and behavioral problems, co-occurring developmental disabilities and has a specialty program for children with autism spectrum disorders.
The Discovery Program at Laurel Heights is dedicated to helping children with autism spectrum disorders and significant behavioral difficulties learn functional communication, social interaction, and self-management skills.
The program is geared toward children with autism who may also have Self-injurious, disruptive and aggressive behaviors, Moods disorders, including depression and bipolar symptoms, Difficulties with impulse control and self-regulation, Symptoms of psychosis or other mental illnesses.
