School Notes

  • School Motto: For His Glory
  • School Mascot: Patriot
  • At Ocean View Christian Academy, we believe education is far more than academic instruction alone. Our mission is to glorify God by equipping students spiritually, academically, socially, and physically, and every aspect of our program is intentionally designed to support the formation of the whole child. Serving students from preschool through twelfth grade, OVCA provides a Christ-centered, college-preparatory education that seeks to cultivate wisdom, character, conviction, and competence at each age and stage of development.
  • Families are often drawn to OVCA because they are looking for a school environment where Biblical truth is not merely added onto the educational experience, but thoughtfully integrated throughout it in order to instill Biblical values in the minds and hearts of their children. At OVCA, students are encouraged to understand who they are in light of God's design and to view every academic discipline through the lens of truth, purpose, and responsibility. Our graduates are equipped to be spiritually purposed to live as citizens of Heaven, academically primed to thrive in competitive environments, socially prepared to cooperate in responsible relationships, and physically practiced in principles of healthy living. These foundational commitments shape not only what we teach, but how we teach, lead, disciple, and serve.
  • Academically, OVCA seeks to provide a rigorous and engaging educational experience that prepares students for success in college, career, and beyond. Our teachers strive to cultivate critical thinking, communication skills, creativity, and intellectual curiosity while maintaining high expectations and meaningful support for students. Families who value strong academics often appreciate the balance OVCA seeks to maintain between educational excellence and healthy student formation. We believe students flourish best when they are both challenged and known personally by the adults who serve them.
  • Many families also choose OVCA because they desire a safe, structured, and relational environment where students are encouraged to grow in character alongside their academic abilities. Through intentional discipleship, mentorship, chapel services, curriculum, athletics, fine arts, service opportunities, leadership development, and daily interactions with faculty and peers, students are guided toward becoming responsible, compassionate, and resilient contributors to the world around them. Our schoolwide goals reinforce these priorities through a multi-year focus on healthy living, responsible relationships, and competitive skills that help students navigate both present challenges and future opportunities with wisdom and integrity.
  • OVCA also values strong partnership with families. We believe parents are the primary influence in a child's life, and we seek to cultivate meaningful communication and partnership between home and school. Families frequently express appreciation for the sense of community, personal investment, and shared values that characterize the OVCA experience. From preschool foundations to senior capstone experiences, our desire is to help students discover and develop their God-given potential while preparing them to lead faithfully and serve effectively wherever God calls them.Ultimately, families choose Ocean View Christian Academy because they are seeking more than a school. They are seeking a community, a family, committed to developing students who are grounded in biblical truth, equipped for academic success, strengthened in character, and prepared to impact the world for His glory.

School Reviews

We have two students enrolled at Ocean View Christian (NOT the public Ocean View Hills). We are pleased with their academic progress, and the caring environment they are in. They have very small classes, and also teach how to be a good person. I would recommend this school.
